Update in Picturium. Additional pages

You've probably noticed that another update has rolled out.

What did it bring, besides fixing some bugs? A very interesting new feature that will help organize the page count in the tracker. Namely — additional pages!

As we know, many author books contain small images at the very beginning, on the endpaper, a personalization page, a sheet for testing art supplies (at the beginning or end), and many different extra pages, including inside the book. Some people count them in the tracker and color them, others don't. That's why we had confusion with numbering, when the same illustration ended up on different pages.

To solve this, we added the option: to include such pages in the tracker or not — your choice.

Now the main page count can start not from the first picture, no matter how small it is, but from a full-fledged illustration. No text, no author's name or book title. A full-page illustration. That's where the count begins.

How do you add additional pages?

When adding an artwork through a book on your shelf (not from the gallery!), you see a red plus sign. Click on it.

Now we see several options for the positions of additional pages.

♦ "Before page 1."

Here you can choose the types:

extra - just an extra page where information about the book, publisher, introductory text, or any extra page that doesn't fit the categories described below is placed;

Cover - you won't believe it, but some book covers can also be colored =)

Title page - the book's title;

♦ "After page ..." (you need to specify the page number after which the extra page will be placed)

This option is handy, for example, for miniatures in Klara Markova's books.

♦ "After the last page"

When you choose extra pages, you don't affect the numbering at all, and their count will be displayed separately.

To make placing extra pages inside the book easier, you can press and hold any page and choose from the menu whether to place the extra page on the right or left.

Also, pages (regular or extra) can be dragged by simply holding and pulling them to the desired field.

If you've already added the first extra pages (endpapers, title pages, etc.), you can use the "Fix numbering" function - in the book menu (three dots at the top right)
